Claims

Putting in a claim is usually when you realise whether your policy covered what you expected or not. It is also a time when you realise that your broker is there to assist you in the processing of your claim. Dealing with a claim can be difficult, let alone in a foreign language, and many people may not know how to discuss insurance issues in depth. This is why we, at The Eric Blair Network, consider claims management as our top priority. Our team is there to assist you to declare, process your claim and obtain compensation. Generally, the procedure for making a claim is as follows:

1Prepare a written declaration with as much information as possible. For water damage claims and automobile claims there are standard declaration forms (Constat Amiable) which can be viewed in the Useful Documents section of the site. If you need one, we can send you a form (originals are in duplicate).
2You should obtain an estimate for your damages as soon as possible and send it to us. Do not go ahead with repair work before obtaining the agreement from your insurer.
3Once your declaration is received, you will be contacted by your broker to confirm if the claim is covered - request an estimate if one has not already been sent - authorise the work based on the estimate sent - be informed that an assessor will come to view the damages.
